We work with the latest equipment and continuously maintain and upgrade our tools. This allows us to work with minimal tolerances to produce seamless joints and accurate cuts, avoiding any unnecessary wastage. Dust extractors are connected to our cutting equipment and all furniture is properly covered and protected.

They were diligent, courteous, on time, and willing to answer my questions. Perfectionist team with exceptional attention to detail and standard of the finish floor. Fin Wood was one of a few companies recommended by The Natural Wood Floor Company. Our main contact at Fin Wood was Alin, the CEO. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and responsive throughout the entire project, which gave us confidence and comfort.
During the initial site visit, Alin asks questions to better understand project objectives and he talks through the process from start to finish. He helped us think through various details and provides pros / cons for different options.
The pricing quote was itemized which makes it transparent and easy to add / remove works to fit a desired budget. There are no hidden fees like some competitors.
During the works, Alin’s team was clean and considerate. The team has been working together for years (i.e. individuals are not contracted in for projects) and they completed everything on-time. In addition, we were able to access the house during work and also received regular progress updates.
After the work was complete, Alin kindly followed-up to make sure everything was perfect and even popped by the house for some minor tidy-up works. Overall, very pleasant experience and nothing negative to say.

Kept to the time scale given despite there being more work needed than originally predicted (they were removing tiles and making good the floorboards underneath). 20/07/2020 at 9:33 amThe quality of the new floor installation is excellent and they managed to remove just about all the creaks an groans in the sub-floor (anything not completely fixed was beyond their control). The apartment was left very clean. They started on time and completed ahead of schedule for the agreed upon price. Alin was also very helpful in advising on flooring materials, sourcing, etc beforehand. All in all, very professional, skilled and diligent craftsmen; would highly recommend!

We’d read fantastic reviews about his work, and Alin himself was incredibly helpful throughout the process. We recognise that this was a tricky job – our flat is old, and the floorboards were creaky, completely mismatched and needed replacing. We went from an old carpet to stunning new wooden floors and the effect looks beautiful. Alin also went above and beyond to help us get the works approved (he took time out to join us for some sound tests before we’d commissioned any work) and advised us throughout the process as to which wood and materials would work best for our needs. The final look of the flat is transformed and we’ll be recommending him to anyone else. This is a wonderful company and I hope the have the pleasure of working with him again.

The overall quality of work was very high and the attention to detail truly special. Fin Wood has professionally handled all problems with deliveries and scheduling encountered during the project. Alin is really knowledgeable and passionate about wooden floors – his explanations to me of how the materials would work in situ, and also of the installation process etc, were very detailed and clear. He prepared several samples for me of various options for finishings which were helpful to understand which of the finishings would work the best. Alin also stands out for his customer service which really is exceptional – there was great communication throughout and he and his team were extremely punctual. I would highly recommend the Finwood team.

But Alin spent a lot of time giving me advices to achieve what i was looking for, gave me alternatives for the work to reduce the cost and made sure to answer all my questions. The quote was clear and detailed. Alin and his colleagues were nice, polite and always on time. They made sure we could come back at home safely in the evenings with our toddler. Our wooden floor looks amazing (especially the stairs). Only downside are some paint cracks on the skirting and stains on the walls, Considering the budget I was expecting more care, but overall we are very pleased

Before we booked Alin came round to look at the old floors and talk through the options available to us. He was knowledgeable and flexible when we asked for different options to be added and removed.
