Tradesman alert: Liam Stewart (Stewart & Co aka Stewart Plastering), duped my pensioner mum and dad who have fallen foul of this local tradesman who provided a horrendous plastering job which has left them over £1,000 out of pocket.
To put this into context, this is one plastered wall with the dimensions 2.6m x 3.9m, which has cost over £1,000 and now clearly cannot be painted, my mum and dad were advised against papering the wall as the paper would not stick and eventually peel off. The only option my vulnerable parents have is to remove all plaster and start again.
Despite trying to contact Liam Stewart (Stewart & Co aka Stewart Plastering) to amicably remediate the problems, my mum and dad have had to pay another tradesman to rectify the appalling workmanship.
Liam Stewart (Stewart & Co aka Stewart Plastering) claims to have qualifications attesting to the quality of his work. If he is indeed so skilled, why on earth has he left my mum and dad with an exceptionally substandard piece of workmanship? Why on earth would he offer a poultry sum as a ‘goodwill’ gesture, stating it was my mum’s fault.
I have consulted with genuine qualified and trusted tradesmen for their professional opinion, all of which were able to point out numerous failings, all of whom confirmed the fee was not representative for the quality and quantity of work delivered by Liam Stewart of Stewart & Co aka Stewart Plastering.
My parents quite rightly requested Liam Stewart to rectify it or refund them. Liam Stewart said he would pay another plasterer ‘what he felt was justified’ to fix the wall. This appears to have been an empty promise.
My mum and dad have always worked hard for what they have, and this so called ‘professional’ has taken them for fools. I’m absolutely disgusted, I do not want another family or elderly vulnerable relative ripped off by Liam Stewart (Stewart & Co aka Stewart Plastering).
Please avoid Liam Stewart, Stewart & Co aka Stewart Plastering, if he’s capable of doing this to my elderly parents he’s capable of doing this to you.
