What a good choice. We got several quotes, not only were Econoloft the most competitive but what a good job. Very helpful throughout the process. We made some changes that were incorporated with ease. Nothing was too much trouble and we have ended up with exactly what we wanted

We came across Econoloft at the Grand Designs Show in London and found communications very easy but not pushy. Not knowing what the market was like, we tried a number of other companies and Econoloft stood out both in terms of price and professionalism. Work started earlier than planned and got going at a cracking pace with the floor being completed in a few days. The main builder was very easy to work with, which enabled us to get things just as we wanted as we began to visualise the space; they also tidied up at the end of each day, meaning that getting home from work each day to see the progress was exciting rather than concerning. We were especially pleased with the quality of the staircase which exactly matches our existing Victorian staircase. We now feel that we have got the most out of the space and have a fantastic living space that is completely tailored to our needs. Waking up in such a bright and airy room each day is a real pleasure.

We had several quotes in and decided to go with Econoloft as it was their speciality and they did every ‘in house’. The team who worked with us where very nice. Always arrived promply, explained anything we didn’t understand. The whole project took just under 6 weeks. There was no dead time, someone was always on site which was brilliant when you’re also living around it. They also gave great advise to make sure we maximised our space and also did some additional jobs.

After a long search for the right loft conversion company,
we decided to use Econoloft.
We were very happy from the first approach with the company, as the office based staff are always ready to help and Paul, the sales representative was really friendly, not pushy and very helpful.
The agreed price did not changed, from the initial quote and the bonus part was the it was also one of the lowest.
Econoloft took care of all the drawings, council information & paperwork and full team.
The building team was great, even too quick at times, as we had to find and order tiles, bathroom suite etc very quickly.
We decided to use the same builders and plumbers for extra works in the house and we were very happy with the price and final result.
We really love our top floor and overall we were happy with Econoloft and we have already recommend them to other friends.

After having many quotes and lots of differing opinions on how to make stairs to loft work, Econo Loft give me the best quote, and the confidence that the stairs would work by sending out the stair fitting company to measure up.

The main builders were brilliant, great work and attention to detail. They also suggested some changes to original plans (sunken shelves in bedroom and shower, etc) which made the end result even better.

Other trades were contracted out by Econo Loft (plumber, electrician, plaster) who were all good.

The payment process was something I had not experienced before, but it was fine. Payments for the materials I made directly to Econo Loft before each delivery. Then for all on site workers I paid them directly following Econ Lofts approval as all costs part of agreed price with Econo Loft. Extra costs I paid trades outside the contract for these or sourced myself (chrome electrical fittings, new bathroom on first floor outside contract etc).

I was recommended Econoloft by a family member after spending considerable time seeking costs for a dormer loft conversion, all of which had come in above our available budget.

Econoloft visited our house to measure up, talk through our options and very quickly came back with a great price up-front for the job we needed compared with other quotes, and had even provided a solution for the staircase adaptation which had not been considered by others.

Econoloft were thorough in ensuring any necessary planning provision (or in our case, permitted development rights) were in place prior to commencing the work.

Once on-site, the joinery team (who led the job) were helpful throughout and kept us well informed on progress, and overall the project was delivered in budget, on-time and we have been very happy with the quality also.

It wasn’t a perfectly smooth experience (no project ever is), and although we had issues with the roofing team arriving to carry out the work, this was simply carried out at the tail-end of the job. The pre-manufactured staircase also arrived incorrectly assembled, but we were able to leave the team to arrange this to be rectified and delivered and installed within a few days.

After the work was completed some very minor changes were required to satisfy building control (one of which was required due to only a few millimetres gap) and Econoloft revisited to rectify with little disturbance to ourselves.

I would recommend Econoloft to anyone considering a loft conversion, and would also suggest you get involved with the work; ask questions, take a look at what has been done etc, for any assurances you need, which the team are happy to provide.

It is not often that I feel it necessary to write a review but on this occasion I feel it is a must. The decision to undertake a loft conversion in your home is a big one and one that can be very stressful and for this reason I hope my review will help others. For many years I had often past the Econoloft office in West Wickham and had obviously noted their existence should ever I be lucky enough to be seeking such a project for my home (my view of their having an accessible shop front and office locally was very reassuring!). Eventually when the time came they were an obvious choice to investigate but not without sensibly doing some considerable research and comparisons with other companies in our area. My assumptions that Econoloft would most probably be out of our price range were swiftly and surprisingly quashed! Not only were we given a competitive price it was one that others could not easily match! From the very first point of contact right up to the very last on completion and beyond I honestly cannot fault the service we received. Every detail is carefully explained and any queries/questions along the way are quickly answered. Econoloft have a dedicated team at their head office in Wigan, the very lovely Caroline and Wendy to name just two, who are always happy to help and make the whole experience as trouble free as is possible (no nasty answering machines or waiting for a call back!). The team of tradesmen that were assigned to us were amazing. Davin and Dan our first fix joiners, who were with us the whole way through, Terry on plumbing and heating, Wes the electrician, Rocky and Harry masters in the art of plastering, Mike flat roofing specialist and finally Lukasz and his accomplice on final fix joinery, each and every one was quite literally a pleasure to have around. A jolly bunch with plenty of entertaining banter thrown in for good measure! Always polite, considerate and respectful of us and our home. To them personally we would love for them to know how very grateful we are to all of them for all their amazing skill, care and hard work….a massive thank you to you all! With such an array of different trades required we would have maybe expected the odd clash of personality but not one didn’t meet and exceed our expectations…what a smashing bunch! The finished article we can only describe as stunning, a complete transformation of a dusty old loft area and best of all the planned layout is such that it flows beautifully, following on from the existing second floor as though it has always been there! The loft conversion has truly transformed our home and we are beyond pleased with the result (not to mention the added value which well exceeds the outlay!). Econoloft come very highly recommended from us! 
