6 December 2023 at 5 PMWe needed to replace and upgrade 6 old Velux windows with replacement triple glazed units from Fakro. We were extremely impressed by Andrew and his team from the very fair quotation through to the creative way they managed to install the windows whilst minimising damage to the existing plasterwork (thus considerably reducing costs). They were extremely courteous and thoughtful and cleared up impeccably! I would have no hesitation in recommending them base on our experience and certainly hope to use them again if we have further work in the future.

27 August 2023 at 3 PMI almost want to keep Design and Build a secret, because they are so wonderful I never want anyone else to work on our house! A lucky Google search led to me to Andrzej and his team, who then linked us up with an amazing architect who deisgned a new bedroom/bathroom for us. The work was undertaken to an astonishingly high standard, with custom carpentry and incredible finish on paint and wallpaper jobs. We booked them in straight away to undertake a bigger extension job for us the year after, which was again completed to a dream-standard. The team are a pleasure to have around, polite and tidy and friendly, and Andrzej is a brilliant man.

21 June 2023 at 3 PMAt the bottom of my small garden is a building that 100 years ago was stables. It’s now used when friends stay. The latest problem was rain leaking into the building making steps and some of the walls and roof unsafe. Despite not knowing how much work might be needed, Andrew gave me a very detailed and I thought reasonable quote for such a challenging job, which another builder “wouldn’t touch with a barge pole”.
The work was done by friendly, highly skilled men who involved me in all the decisions, checking exactly what I wanted. The work was quick and careful and the result is safe, strong and beautiful. I couldn’t be happier and have been recommending Design and Buuld, Oxford to all my friends.

12 June 2023 at 3 PMDesign and Build have done a few jobs for me – starting with a big renovation and an extension on a house in Summertown and now starting a kitchen extension, insulation, new windows, painting and decorating and a lot more on a a house in Eynsham. I have known Andrzej and his team for over 15 years. They are hard working, considerate, polite, exceptional at their jobs and wonderful problem fixers. Nothing is ever too much trouble. They are the best I have ever worked with and trust them completely.

26 February 2023 at 11 AMWe used Design and Build for the complete refurbishment of a 4 bedroom rental property in St Clemens including new floors, new kitchen, tailored furniture ,new front door and redecoration. throughout . We have been using D&B for maintenance jobs on 3 other rental properties and for our own home in Brookside for some 10 years .Their standard of work is impeccable , the workers work round the clock with little or no time for breaks meaning that are quick and efficient . Andrzej is excellent and always willing to give his advice on the best course of action. The only draw back is that they are so good that over time they have made a name for themselves by word of mouth ands are therefore in high demand

17 February 2023 at 10 AMDesign and Build renovated the ground floor of my Edwardian terraced house; the old kitchen and extension were demolished down to and including the foundations. The footprint was then extended into the side return creating a large kitchen diner, with full width tiled steps down to the garden, and a utility room. The remainder of the ground floor was reconfigured from one through living/dining room to create a separate front living room, cloakroom and wet room/wc. The finish included new spindles to the staircase, and replastering and decorating throughout, including papering the hall to all three storeys. It also included repurposing most of the dismantled solid wood units from the old kitchen to provide storage for the utility and cloakroom.
Any issues that arose were dealt with adeptly, with consultation as appropriate. The team’s dedication and commitment to delivering the highest standard of work were evident on each site visit. The work was delivered to schedule and on budget, despite all the challenges of Covid 19. My new home is a pleasure to live in. For all these reasons and more, I can highly recommend Design and Build.
The work was carried out expertly in all respects, the finish was beautiful throughout and the wallpapering exquisite.

We could not be happier. From consultation to design, through to the build and completion they have been a dream. The skill level of the team is staggering, and the quality and care of the work they do surpassed all our expectations. The work was done within the budget and timeframe agreed at the start of the job, and they were astonishingly adapt and accompanying to meet some very tricky and demanding requests on the build.
