There is a strong trend for restoration of period features in older properties. Particularly Sash windows which have been used in Yorkshire for over 200 years and are extremely practical, well suited to our climate and durable. Windows are an integral part of the character and appeal of a building but they must also function safely and effectively.
Ash Carpentry is committed to maintaining the value and conserving the craftsmanship and history of existing sash windows. Ash Carpentry has been trading for 8 years and is a family run company led by Alan O'Connell.
With over 15 years experience in period restoration work they can transform rotten and rattling sash windows, into beautifully working, quiet and draught proofed windows.

12/03/2021 at 11:11 amOur sash windows are original but were in poor repair. Alan did an excellent and painstaking renovation: repairing, reglazing, painting – all with great craftsmanship.
He also replaced our door canopy to the original design. We are delighted with the appearance of the house frontage.
We had a detailed quotation upfront and Alan was completely reliable with his timetable and keeping us informed.
